Our delectable fresh fruits are simply the stars of the crop! That's because we handpick them from the trees at exactly the moment they're at their best. Crunchy, sweet, large and juicy, we're famous for delivering mouthwatering flavours rushed straight from the orchards and growers and into each beautiful hamper we lovingly prepare. How delightful to know that when a gift arrives, each recipient will be able to indulge in amazing fruit that was on the tree just 48 hours beforehand!
The weather in 2006 was mixed, but warm and dry overall, creating a wine with the immediate impression of the mildness of the pure, airy, bright bouquet. A floral, fruity pastel tone then unfolds and quickly darkens into candied fruit, ripe hay and toasted notes, along with hints of licorice. The wine’s opulence – contained and succulent, round at heart – reveals itself in the mouth. The envelope slides and stretches, and the wine becomes more complex and edgy, silkier than it is creamy.
The House of Roederer Cristal is considered the first Prestige Cuvee of Champagne, originally commissioned by Tsar Alexander II who wanted champagne in clear glass crystal to demonstrate its authenticity. Our sommelier has selected the Louis Roederer Cristal 2009 - a rare top echelon blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, with a rich and luminous apricot colour, tiny bubbles and vibrant notes of white flesh fruits that settle into a clotted cream fullness, and ending with softly toasted cashews.
